First steps with 11.10 Gnome Shell

In a moment of weakness (stupidity), I upgraded my ubuntu 11.04 with my beloved gnome 2.32 and I hate it! - No way back? !?!

On top of it, I have a new monitor that gives me a hell of a hard time adjusting the Screen resolution . The highest recognised on the list is 800X600_60

***I will be very grateful if someone will help out with the monitor issue!***

Clarity icons
Awn dock
Ugly stupid uncostumizable top panel

all I can say , at this moment I'm really sad !
